The absence of bright color in this design is a bonus rather than a minus, as it means that these accessories can be worn with a wider variety of color combinations, without clashing. The glass pieces are set with a slight gap between their edges and the silver metallic frame in which they are set, so that they appear almost loose, but you can rest assured that they are fixed securely in place.
