All the arrangements of Tangonero are a mix between band collaboration and inspiration drawn from other recordings. The title of the Pacifica show is “Nostalgias de Tango” and is written by dancer Leo Landa. “‘Nostalgias de Tango’ bridges the gap and blurs the lines between past and present, tango and real life, Argentine lyrics and modern-day realities,” Landa said. “Tango aficionados consider tango timeless and borderless, in many ways more powerful than almost any other musical and dance genre from the 20th century. The plot tries to offer some examples as to why that is so.”.
